i smoked newport 100s and the filters were the same as the normal legnth? the tobacco just went under where the filter looked like it began but this is still a compelling arguement. i will stop shaming weird normie cig smokers.

Re: shorts vs 100s / a cigarette burns exponentially slower the closer the ember is to the filter. You may be overestimating the time differential it takes to smoke either because the extra length on the end of a 100 goes the quickest. Not to mention that 100's have longer filters, adding to the illusion of more tobacco and thus decreasing the intensity of the draw. That plus the fact that 100s aren't quite as densely packed means you're not necessarily getting your money's worth.
