Kurdish fighter part of the YPG (People’s Protection Group), fighting against ISIS. Like many young women in the YPG and other groups, they fight to protect their people and homeland. It’s unclear if she is still alive, the only recent info confirming so was back in January of 2015. Another well known female YPG fighter committed suicide last year to avoid being captured by ISIS.
