EVEN NICK FURY IS JEALOUS...

In a fashionable area of Glasgow called the Italian Centre,

is situated a flat (apartment), the interior of which reminds me of

NICK FURY's living quarters, as depicted by JIM STERANKO.

Until recently it belonged to JIM HAMILTON, owner of the city's

'FORBIDDEN PLANET' store, who, along with his lovely wife

(naturally) and two cats, has now relocated to even larger accom-

modation in an undisclosed area, along with his vast accumula-

tion of prized collectables, which, at the very least, rivals

(and in some cases, surpasses) my own.

Jim, one of nature's gentlemen, has kindly consented to me

sharing the accompanying photos, which I took several weeks

back on a visit, with readers of this blog.  Jim was in preparation

for 'the big flit', so I'm sure you'll overlook any small hints of minor

disarray which may be in evidence.  (The place looks spotless to me,

but then again, I'm an irredeemable slob.)  Wouldn't you just love to

live in a place like this?  Too late, you should have bought it while it

was going, so tough sh*t.  I'm usually not easily impressed by mate-

rial possessions, whether it be houses, cars, or whatever, but I

have to admit - even I was slightly in awe of Jim's Aladdin's

cave of treasures and how well they were displayed.

  

Anyway, let's commence our little tour.  I'll add some

captions to the photos where needed as we go along.
