No "Great News Inside!" blurb graced the cover of the last
issue of TV ACTION, which had begun life as COUNTDOWN
around two and a half years before. At first, the comic had been
similar to TV CENTURY 21, but with the name-change, it became
more like an adventure version of TV COMIC. The announcement
of the merger was a rather low-key affair - perhaps POLYSTYLE
PUBLICATIONS didn't want to shout the title's failure from the
rooftops - but it was sad to see it disappear with barely a
whimper. It deserved better.
