A Lack Of Girl Power

The recent cancellation of Agent Carter leaves Jessica Jones as the only Marvel television series with a female lead currently still kicking. And the miniscule number of women protagonists and antagonists across Marvel’s cinematic landscape has even caught the attention of Stephen Colbert. For now, however, it appears that comic book-inspired TV shows will more or less maintain the status quo that Gavia Baker-Whitelaw observed last year.
