JERI RYAN pauses at the foot of the
stairs to ask me if I'm coming to bed yet.
"Not if you're going to keep on those daft
pyjamas, I'm not!" says I. "Who wants to
sleep with a mermaid?!" (It sure smells
fishy to me, let me tell you.)
