Just heard on BBC RADIO 4 news that STEVE DITKO was found dead in his apartment on June 27th, aged 90. For those of us who grew up reading his SPIDER-MAN and Dr. STRANGE tales, it's a very sad time indeed, as well as an unwanted reminder of our own mortality. Steve did more than co-create the above two characters, but it's for them that he'll probably be best remembered. I'll leave it to others to go into more detail on the artist's life and career - suffice to say that his work and influence will live on.
