FABULOUSLY FANTASTIC FRICTION-DRIVE FAVOURITES...

I've probably got other friction-drive toys than the ones I'm about to show you here (in fact, as I type, I suddenly recall a couple of rabbits and two mice, which will have to wait for another time), but these are the 'biggies' of my collection.  Two of them I was able to obtain because I enquired in a post on this 'ere blog if anyone had them, and the two sellers got in touch.  See?  There can be benefits to this blogging malarkey that you'd never have anticipated, and it's likely that I'd still be without YOGI on his scooter and SANTA in his Blimp if Crivens didn't exist.

I've shown most of them before, but these are all brand-new photos taken especially for this post.  Of the three toys being shown for the first time, two are of Yogi Bear - one of him in his car and the other a 'running' Yogi - no doubt fleeing from RANGER SMITH or CINDY BEAR.  The other is of a nifty little racing car.  I've recently added some stickers to my new Space Blimp toy as the box illustration (seen in a previous post) shows four circular 'indentations' on each side of the Blimp that aren't actually on the toy.  I thought I'd remedy that, and also add half stickers to the headlights to make it look as if they were on.  I can remove them at any time, so it's not a permanent amendment.

Anyway, I hope that you'll enjoy the images that follow - they were all taken especially for you.  Incidentally, all toys shown here are original '60s versions - there's not a modern reissue or replica to be seen.  Did you have any of them when you were a kid?  If so, share your memories with your fellow Crivvies.
