Tanya is a young woman whose beauty drives men to fight over her. She loves it, too. She is blessed with beauty, but cursed by Satan to cause turmoil in her village. What “Satan’s Woman Prize” shows as being a curse on Tanya I see being immature teenage behavior, but that’s just me. When a writer needs a good villain, Satan is always a good choice.
I scanned the story from the 1964 Super Comics reprint, Mystery Tales #17. It originally appeared in Avon’s Eerie #14 (1951). The Grand Comics Database incorrectly lists Martin Nodel as artist, along with inker Vince Alascia. It gives the correct credit for Norman Nodel in its listing for Eerie #14.
