I think it was a very interesting take on a very straightforward character like Captain America. It wasn’t the bland-boring “hero turned villain” motif of usual. We were being presented with a character so pure on his intentions as head of Hydra that he’s able to lift Mjolnir. The bad press is turning it into a very generic event as issues go by. If you’ve read #3 I’m sure you can realize by now that this is Superior Spider-Man all over again. I’m sure Nick Spencer is being heavily edited on every issue. We also know how it’s gonna end since the end of Civil War II… I mean I’m hoping there’s some grand twist to it. I not easily outraged as your standard modern comic reader so I’m cool with the concepts laid out on it.
