Hey mate! Currently reading capullo's run of the batman comics and absolutley loving it! Esp death in the family! The artists seem to get a lot of bad rep for their version if the joker-esp with his face torn off etc. However its my most favourite rendition of the character personally with heath ledger a close second! Was wondering if youve read them what do you think if them and their version of the joker? 😊

I don’t know what to make of Snyder and Capullo’s Joker. If you read “Endgame” (The follow up to Death in The Family) it’s somewhat implied that that guy facing Batman wasn’t the Joker at all. For me the character has always been the personification of sadism and cruelty. But they took it up to another level. He’s more of a force of nature than nothing else these days. He’s so twisted he’s been relegated to “event” villain. I was used to see him here and there every couple of years but now a writer who’s gonna use the Joker needs literal prep time and hype to sell the story. They added another layer of complication to his existence when Rebirth launched since now there are three jokers running around in the DCU.
