The U.K. edition of MAD #1 appeared in 1959 and lasted until #381
in 1994. In between, there's an interesting story to be told about its fate
and fortunes, but, for today, I'm only interested in the first issue's cover
so that's all your getting, too. But, hey - it's ALFRED E. NEUMAN
for crying out loud - what more do you want?!
