A Gathering That Left Us Too Soon // artwork by Gary Davis,...

A Gathering That Left Us Too Soon // artwork by Gary Davis, David Mack, Michell Dinan, Arcosart, Robb Nemoman and Archie Snow (2016)

David Bowie. Alan Rickman. Ian “Lemmy” Kimister. I find myself without words because such talented people has left us so soon and so quick. The art are losing some major talent in the first 15 days of 2016. I just hope it stops.
“It gladdens me to know that Baldr’s father makes ready the benches for a banquet. Soon we shall be drinking ale from the curved horns. The champion who comes into Valhalla does not lament his death. I shall not enter this hall with words of fear upon my lips. The Aesir will welcome me. Death comes without lamenting… Eager am I to depart. The Dísir summon me home, those whom Odin sends for me from the halls of the Lord of Hosts. Gladly shall I drink ale in the high-seat with the Aesir. The days of my life are ended. I laugh as I die”
