Golgo 13 (a.k.a: Duke Togo) is easily Japan’s mix of James Bond, DC’s Deadshot and Marvel’s the Punisher. A cold, calculating gun for hire who will commit to contracts for the standard fare of 3 million dollars and the proper intel to take off his target. Motives doesn’t matter to Golgo 13. Once he’s committed to a contract he won’t stop until the target is killed off even at the expense of the client. The kick of the show is always to see the method used by Golgo to fulfill his contract while getting away from the authorities or making a fool out of them in the process. While he is widely know in the underworld and by the world’s top intelligence agencies very few people can actually lay a hand on him or face him in a direct confrontation.
