PARKER...WELL DONE...

Images copyright IDW PUBLISHING

Something that I discovered only recently is this series of books
by RICHARD STARK (pseudonym of DONALD E. WESTLAKE)
and DARWYN COOKE, the latter having adapted and illustrated the
former's novels about a hard-as-nails master thief called PARKER
(not to be confused with LADY PENELOPE's chauffeur).

Graphic novels in the truest sense, Darwyn Cooke had intended
to adapt all 16 books into this format, but only managed to produce
four before he passed away.  They're riveting reading, and I'm looking
forward to starting the original novel of The HUNTER, for which he
provided full-colour illustrations.  Again, he'd intended to illustrate
the full series of Parker stories, but, alas, 'twas not to be.

Available from FORBIDDEN PLANET and all good book-
shops, add them to your Darwyn Cooke collection today.
